Whitehorse
I accompanied Andy and Sue Tamas to Waterloo for the academic year of '69 - '70. Fred Kemp was my Psych prof, and through him I met some of the people who eventually became part of DPG. My main point of contact was 132 University Ave.. Some of the names I can still recall: Jim Hunter, Charlotte von Bezold, Janice Upton, Corley, Rosco Bell, Andy Poldaas, Dave Papazian...
One of the highlights from that time was a road trip with Charlie to San Diego in my '58 Volkswagen Beetle - we painted state flowers on it as we passed through. Another was accompanying Fred Kemp to the 75th annual convention of the American Psychological Association in Miami Beach.
It was my second attempt at university, and this time I accepted that it just wasn't for me. I had spent the summer of 1969 in the Yukon - where I met Andy and Sue - and by the Fall of 1970 that looked like the place I should be, so I went back. Still here. I gradually lost touch with the Waterloo crowd, but I do recall hearing that the Beetle wound up as a dune buggy.
